Meditation
The Dream of Life - CD
While most people know Lori Mechem as an accomplished Jazz Pianist, Composer and Educator, many are only now learning of her songwriting skills and musical diversity. This special solo piano project represents an important and spiritual part of Lori's life. It is a CD for meditation and the celebration of life. Enjoy!
"This CD has been a very special project to me. Some of the compositions have been in my catalogue for many years without a home. So as you can imagine, I am thrilled that they have found a place for you to listen and enjoy. The concept for this CD is very simple. It is about the process of life, where we begin, childhood, learning, innocense, love, family and where we end, love lost, aging, reflection and rebirth. The last song, “Old Souls” is about when we return to a new life and meet someone who is very familiar, a possible soul mate. I have had many experiences of feeling like I have met someone before since living in Tennessee, but none like the experience I had when I met Ron Browning. Neither one of us could really figure it out that we were having past life memories, and knew that we had been together before. He was my soul mate. I love you Ron Browning! I also met my “soul sister”, Elyse Adler. I have always wanted a sister and best friend, and now I have one. We can grow old together Lysee!
There are a lot of people to thank that always support and love me. My husband Roger, my parents Nancy and Larry, my brothers L.J. and Mike, my grandparents, Kim, Elyse, Ron, Larry and Louise, Monica, Margaret and Larry, Stephen and Matthew,Tony and Deidre, Jeff and Cheryl, Brian, Al, Dan, Teree, Donna, Beegie, Peter and Veronica, Melissa, Richard and Nancy and my entire NJW family. You have all been a blessing and light in my life. And most of all, to my spirit guides. This is your music, I am just the vessel.
Special Thanks To Sean Horenstein for understanding my concept of this CD and the beautiful artwork. You are loved, my friend.
Credits All songs written by Lori Mechem except for “Island of Blue” which was co-written with Tony Kerr Recorded in my living room on a 7’4 Bosendorfer Grand Executive Producer- Roger Spencer and Lori Mechem Mastering- Tom Knox Art Work- Sean Horenstein"
